Not dead yet!

Colts, Chargers and Eagles........Where all thought to be dead before making a run in to the playoffs.

The Colts Sitting out at a bad pace. Losing the First game to the Bears. Got a game back when the squeaked past the Vikings.  The Jaguars slash and dash them for a victory. So at the Bye week the Colts where at 1-2. The Bye week did not help the injury prone Colts. They where down big to the Texans. The Games was basically over.......Then  Sage Rosenfels turn the ball over three times and Texans blew a 17 point lead. The next week Colts got to play the Ravens D.  The Colts lit up the board and the Ray Lewis was very upset.

Colts 3-2 Back on track.

Not, The Packers lit up the colts and made them a 500 ball team. Then The undefeated Titans came calling. It was a fatal blow to the Colts for the division title. Four Game lead and The colts looked like it was going to be Manning worse season since his rookie year. Then The Pats, And Steeler where on the horizon.......Which made the Colts chances look even worse. They managed to steal a win from the pats by 3. Then the Steelers where great host and gave the Colts a win.

The streak has started. Colts take down Texans by 6.  Chargers dropped one by 3.  The Colts then beat the Browns by 4 with a defensive TD. Then Colts got a break with the Bengals coming to Town and a butt whipping later where in position to  make the playoffs. The Imperfect Lions came to play with the fourth quarter tie of 21 each. Then the Colts hit the nitro and won by 10. Then the Jaguars put up a fight and tried to sweep the Colts. The game Ended on the 7 yard line of the Colts. When Freny sacked Garrad. A final showdown with the Titans, nothing for either team and it showed as the Titans played backups and Colt keep the streak alive.

Now they head in to  the Wild Card game. They travel to San Diego for a rematch.

Chargers where left for dead.

First game of the season ended in a last second TD by Jake Delhome. Then they face division opponent Broncos, after a 2 point conversion and a controversial call the Chargers fell yo 0-2. The Jets and Raiders let San Diego even up their record.  Then A Miami and the wild cat let down, followed by a Patriot butt whipping, and they where even again. Now at 3-3 they had two games before the bye and trying to get some momentum before bye. The Problem they had some big road games ahead. A trip to Buffalo that had a big time out due to a power outage, Which also lead to a lose for Chargers. Then a trip to London and face the London (New Orleans) Saints. Which besides big plays lead to a big lose. They headed to the bye with 3-5 record. Not looking good, The Chargers want Turner turned over.

After the Bye week just what the Doctor called . The Chiefs, wait a second this game was only won because Herm Edwards went for two.....Chargers fans will take it. 4-5 and some big games coming up. Steelers get a big win  by 8 or 1 depending which Ref you are......lol. 11-10 Victory for Steelers with a turn over for a TD that the Refs took back. Colts and Falcons also beat the chargers leaving them at 4-8. Then a ray of light Oakland, KC, and Tampa bay on the horizon. They Needed to win all of the remain games and Broncos to lose some..........Well, Chargers did their part then the Broncos choked on their path to the playoffs. Leaving the Chargers and Broncos playing Sunday night to decide the Division title. It was a great game if you are a chargers fan. It was a matter of a blow out to be honest. Chargers look like the team of last year. LT was running hard and Rivers was hitting every receiver in stride. The Chargers at 8-8 get a home match-up against the Colts.

Philadelphia Eagles where given a chance in begin of the season. Supposed Wildcard team behind Dallas.

The Eagles Started out in high scoring fashion. The cruised against the Rams, and lose a shootout with the Cowboys on Monday night football.  Then a home butt whipping of Steelers got them back in the win column. Then A Westbrook less Eagles blew a goal line chance against the Bears. Followed by a lose to Redskins. The jumped out to an early lead and pack it up at half time. They traveled to San Fran and got a big win before the Bye Week.

The Eagles sitting at 3-3 and looking like the season might of been a wash.

The Andy Reid Eagles are 9-0 after the bye. Make that 10-0 as they Beat the Falcons. Then A trip to rain Seattle, come out with another west coast Victory. They Big show down with the Giants. Philly could not stop the run and Giants slapped the Eagles around. Now a trip to Cinn. The Bengals should of been an easy win........Well, it was not a lose........lol. Besides McNabb not knowing it the Eagles played to the first tie in NFL since 2001. Now a trip to Baltimore. Where they need a win to stay in the Playoff run........Yikes yet another lose and McNabb was benched.

A short week and a Thanksgiving Night Game, Keep Kolb on the bench and gave D-Mac another chance. He was now on a short lease.......He grabbed that lease and ran with it.  A big game against the Cardinals keep him in the starting line up.  Also keep Eagles Mathematically still in the playoffs. Then traveling to New York and facing the Giants with out the hole in the leg receiver. The Eagles bruised Jacobs and held the Giants in check. Then A Monday night showdown with the Browns. Eagles had a great game that I was enjoying in the stands. Now Back in the hunt and two games left. The Redskins where hosting the Eagles and their game was moved to 4:15. When the game started the Eagles had a chance to take their Destiny in their own hands. They Choked it away with a last chance they fell short on the one yard line. Time expired and Eagles are back on the outside looking in.

The Cowboys coming to town and Playoffs looking out of reach.

Sunday Morning I woke up with a little glimmer of hope. The Texans where playing the Bears at home....looking to get a 8-8 record. The Vikings are playing the Giants who are looking ahead to the playoffs. The Bucs are hosting the Oakland Raiders. It Started out great for the Raiders. The Bears had a lead and Vikings jumped out to an early lead. The Texans stormed back and never looked back. The Giants had a lead and took it in to the fourth quarter. The Buce took a 10 point lead in the fourth. Bears lost now just need a Raider miracle. THe Raiders scored and down by three. The Bucs where stopped and punted. Now Raiders with time running out had a lot of yards to get in short time......Michael Bush said no problem as he broke off a huge run and Raiders took a lead. Then Jeff Garcia throws a pick.........nice. Raiders drive down and get a field goal. Now a seven point lead and time running out. The Bucs tried and fell short. Eagles Game now means something. Cowboys Eagles where playing for a wild-card spot. Yes Virginia the Vikings won with a last second field goal even thought with or without it they had the division wrapped up.

Cowboys-Eagles winner take all.

I already went play by play in the blog. So I just highlight that the Eagles win big. Romo and the Cowboys looked lost and there was plenty of bickering. Even on the plane ride home their was even a fight between players......lol.
