Week 6 is one for the ages. My Sunday wrap up.

Watching 3 games at a time leads me to alot of opinions on football games. Some of them are bias, some on the number.

I watched the Redskins game down to the final field goal. Must say they where not the same team that I watched play the Eagles or cowboys. Campell was playing like he did last season. he did manage 200 and some yards and no picks. Portis on the other hand keep on rolling. He is have a great season so far. In the Ends the win-less Rams are now just the Rams or the one win Rams. A field goal sent The Skins back and gave Eagles a chance to gain some ground.

What another field goal Game as time expires? No way the Falcons and Bears. I must admit I was flipping threw this game back and forth. Look like the Falcons where cruising for a victory early. Then The Bears mad a nice comeback. I was very surprised. When I saw the bears Scored to take the lead. With 11 seconds left the Falcons got the Ball back. After a nice pass from the Rookie Ryan to Jenkings, leaving a second on the clock. Elam set up for the win, a kick with 1 second left. Note worthy was that they where stopped on 4th and goal. Wow how do you like it Chicago. If they would of kicked the field-goal they could of still won. Would of could of, oh well maybe next time.

wait a sec a third game comes down to a field goal? Must of been my suicide pick. Wow was I sweating this boring game out. All Day Peterson must of forgot his running style. The Lions where all over his knees and legs. A man has fallen fast from a top back to a hitting dummy. The Lions better give Kitna some drugs and get him back in to playing shape. There backup dose not stand a chance in this league right now. I mean he ran out of bounds and was still looking to pass down the field. I know it was just inexperience, but that was a bad play. In the end The vikings did enought to pull out the victory.

The Battle of underdogs. How would Texans play after the choke job against the Colts? Would the Dolphins Wildcat play take down another team? It was a pretty good game. I seemed to keep being drawn back to it. In the End The Dolphins took the lead. Both Miami running-backs had a decent day with both scoring a TD. In the end it was Matt Schaub scoring the TD to take the lead and the game.

Now for the blow out games. The Colts finally got back on track. I mean I stopped watching once I heard Addai was not returning. So Manning and Harrison return to old form. Then the Ravens might have some growing pains from Rookie Flacco. Not much to say about this game, just a few deep passes and Colts Def, getting some turnovers.

The Saints taking on the Raiders. This Game started out like it was going to be a nail bitter. Then The Raiders became the Raiders. They need a spark and Sorry to all my fantasy friends that drafted McFadden. He is not going to be the answer this year. He might have some good games down the line but they need some help. Maybe John Madden would like to return to the sidelines. The Saints on the other hand, Showed they had no ill will after the Vikings lose.

The last of the one O'Clock game. Tampa Bay taking on Carolina. John Fox has own the Bucs as of late. Well, hate to steel a line from little giants. Just one time out of ten. They pulled out a nice victory. I must admit I expected more from Carolina. The Panthers had some chances, but the Bucs Def keep them in check. Poor Steve Smith had a huge first half and was held to one catch in the second half. As one of my Fantasy Studs I hope he gets to play the full four quarters next week.

The Four O'Clock games. Must admit with only four games I watched Eagles with Volume Cowboys on middle screen and flipped between Broncos and Seahawks. I have Jones-Drew and he might have saved my week with his performances. Granted his gain was due to injury Fred Taylor. This was my upset special for people that read my Friday blogs. The Broncos have a great secondary, but have no way to stop the run. They need some help to make Cutler the Elway replacement they want him to be. In the mean time thanks for making my Upset special come true.

The Packers and Seahawks, can you say who cared game of the week. Unless you are a pack or Hawk fan. This game could of went either way. Wait a second If Frye was not pretending to play Quarterback for the Seahawks. I must admit I was happy to see John Carlson score his first touchdown as a rookie. My sleeper TE pick of the year. Well, Due credit is owed to Aaron Rodgers. I was not a big fan of him starting the season, but maybe he can replace Favre. I mean he makes the reads, calls the audibles, and makes the throws. Rodgers you are OK in my book.

My only blunder of the picks for the week. The Cowboys taking on the Arizona Cardinals. Even the start of this game was awesome. An opening kick off touchdown. Followed up by some decent def. I really thought the final score was going to be 10-7 for a while. The Cowboys did prove they where more then TO. They Did every to win the game but win the game. Down by Ten they scored a 70 yard pass play to Marion Barber. Then got the Ball back to try a field goal to tie it up. A 52 yard-er after a offsides on the Cards. The Game went to overtime. The Boys in Blue Had momentum and had the Ball. The only Think was the little red birds with the big heart wanted it more.after shutting down Romo, they where getting the Ball Back. In punt formation the cards took the the kicker and the ball to the house. Cards win, Giving me my only lost for the week.

Now The High flying and emotional Win for the Eagles. The Eagles came out with a  point to make. To bad the final seconds in the half and the third quarter they took off. Then they hit the switch and dominated the fourth quarter. They took the 4 point lead and never looked back. The Eagles D turn up the pressure and made this game a ho down for Philly fans.........E A G L E S............Eagles.

NOW to the Late Game and Seal my 3-1 record for the Week. The Chargers came out with revenge on the mind. This game was not much of a contest. All I know is wish Kneading did not miss that field goal. They would of hit the 33 pool. and The first round of drinks next Sunday would of been on me. The Patriots showed they real need Brady to control the offense. Cassel Is the best Back up for a reason. He needs to back up the starter. I must admit it was nice to see the Chargers fired up for a game against the Pats. it made it a fun one sided game.

Thanks for reading, and to next time Hope your picks worked for you.

  1. Vet...aren't you dizzy after swinging your head back and forth watching all those TVs at the same time?  BTW, my fantasy team had a good week...I'm gaining...making my move...watch out!

  2. Vet, the Cowboys killed both of us.  Losing on that blocked punt was a horrible way to lose a game.  The Cowboys Special Teams...well...not so special!
