During the 2008-2009 season, an encouraging pattern appeared. The Steelers would start the game well, at some point fall behind, and in the 4th quarter, Big Ben would engineer a game winning drive. This phenomena reared its head during the regular season, but in the biggest game of the year, Super Bowl XLIII. Why is the leader of such a sub par offense (22nd in the league during the regular season) the engineer of so many come from behind wins? When examined, two major reasons can be found.

Coming off a super bowl victory last season, hopes couldn't be higher for the 2009 Pittsburgh Steelers, as they should be. While the team is returning 20 out of 22 starters from that super bowl run (only losing Larry Foote and Bryant Mcfadden), things begin to look bleak as we look at the possible roster a year from now. In 2010, the

The Philadelphia Eagles get to travel ut West for A Showdown with Arizona Cardinals.
The Thanksgiving rematch. The first time these two teams meet on a night thanksgiving game, The Philadelphia Eagles turned on the Offense. The Cardinals where already shue ins to win the division. They where just going through the emotions. The where resting up for a playoff run. The have a lot of threats on the offense and since play offs started the Defense has step it up. These Two teams are rolling in the playoffs and the Desert should be lit up with points on Sunday afternoon. The Home team has also re found a running game. Which helps the old arm of Kurt Warner, plus he could be getting A. Boldin back.

The game is set in stone. The Pittsburgh Steelers get to host the Baltimore Ravens. This is the third time the two teams meet. The big story is Baltimore Ravens Rookie starting Quarterback doing the same thing Big Ben did his rookie season. The are two of only three rookie QB's to win their first playoff game as a rookie. Flacco already had him beat for rookie starts with 18 games going on 19 nless something happens. While Ben Roethlisberger only started 15 games his rookie Season. With A win Flacco Would set a high rookie standard with 20 starts in Rookie season with the current schedule be impossable to beat. The Ravens lost the first game by a field goal. Then the Second game their was a questionable call of a TD that gave the

Steelers Only Team to keep Home Field Advantage.
The Chargers came out throwing and end the game throwing. Someone just to need to remind Rivers to get points. The Chargers where over matched and the back to back games did not help. LT was on the sideline meaning Sproles had to carry the load. Not much of a load since they are in the air more the the Eagles. The Chargers nailed their own coffin with a pass interference.

Philadelphia Eagles Travel up the interstate to face the New Jersey Giants....I refuse to call them New York. The game is a three peat and the road team won both games so far. So I like the trend to keep on rolling. The Eagles are the fierce and as talented 6 seed since Pittsburg's last super bwl winning team. The Giants coming off a bye are hoping to fix a sinking ship. Besides the Pathers win the Giants are on a losing trend and might just find Eli and peyton hanging out together soon.

Ravens make tune out of the Dolphins.
Fitting with Bill Parcells possible last game as a Dolphin. The Ravens dominate and if not for one fumble on first drive and a prevent D score the Dolphins never got started. The Dolphins where unable to get to Flacco but they held him under 200 yards but he did get a rushing TD and his RB's besides a fumble help him to win. Flacco is only the third starting Rookie QB to win a playoff game. Now they get the Chance as the third string to take on the Titans. It should be a good Defensive game. We will look at the matchups later in the week.

The Pittsburg Steelers and San Diego Chargers game is causing so much debate. A blown call from the refs, after a review. Has the league rethinking there replay challenges. The new procedures will be implied for playoffs if they figure out a better way to do it. As a gambling kind of guy and a fantasy owner, I see the impact it has on a team. I mean the Score could made you a winner or a loser and not even know it. Imagine you had the house on Chargers. Lose the game on that play. you go jump off the roof. In the Hospital you find out it going to be a whote Christmas for your family. And you will be in a cast. Better yet your at the bar, The

This game is tough. Which Steelers team shows up. Or should I say which offensive line shows up to play. The one that lets Ben throew or the one that pulls off the Look out block. That's when the snap the ball, the line lets defender run by. Then they turn to Ben and yell LOOK OUT!!!!!!! The

First Games is Pittsburgh taking on the Bengals. I like the Steelers coming off a bye week. They have some health concerns, but will have enough to take down the Palmer less Bengals. Cinn is licking wounds and looking for some hope for the season. It's not coming this weekend.

The Steelers Game. What a wonderful game after a let down game in Dallas. I was so impressed the way the game went down. It was an exciting game that had a def match up. The score was a little close but never had a doubt we would have the win when all was done. Ben looked like a 100 million dollar tackling dummy during that game.
