This year has been crazy with some surprise teams doing really well and others faring poorer than expected. Which can make picking the teams each week harder and harder. Here are my picks and why.

Chicago at Atlanta
In Atlanta's 3 wins, RB Turner has had monster games, all 100+ (One 200+) and with multiple TDS. But in their two losses, he was horrific. Against a good run D, he can't do anything. And Chicago has a great run D. Even so, I think I'm going with the dirty birds. Ryan has been playing well lately.
Atlanta

Miami at Houston
Miami has certainly been a surprise this season. 2-2 with some impressive wins. And Houston hasn't won yet. I don't see them upstarting the dolphins.
Miami

Baltimore at Indy

I first started playing fantasy football in 2004. I missed the playoffs but have since won the gold and bronze in 2005, and silver the past two years. And I would say that the biggest reason why I have been so dominant is to make key pickups. Every year, players get hurt and new players becomes stars. Knowing who to pick up and when to use 'em will certainly help you win this week.

QB
Brett Favre (NYJ) - playing against Cincy. I know Cincy will win at least one game but I don't think it'll be this week. Favre won't score another 6 tds but he should throw at least two.

RB
LeRon McClain (BAL) - playing against the Indy defense which has a rather porous run defense. McClain is also getting the goal line carries and scored last week even against a tough Tennessee D. A good bet to score again.

Continue reading "Fantasy Football Week 6"

Well, I'm sure I'm not the only Eagles fan that was disappointed by the Birds' performance yesterday. Another loss that they could have turned into a W.

Who's fault is it?

Well, Akers missed a field goal. Three points. The Eagles lost by six so it isn't just having a poor kicker. And, yes, Akers is a poor kicker. He has missed nine straight from 45+ yards and in the last three seasons, among active kickers, he is the 2nd least accurate. Yet Reid has complete faith in him.

McNabb is best when he scrambles. Yet for some reason, he does not seem willing to run the ball at all this season despite being healthy (finally). He needs to keep the opposing defenses guessing and using his legs is the best option. He can be a huge playmaker by running and this team needs him to.

Continue reading "Another Sunday another lost"
