Oh the Humanity!!!!!

NFC East

Week 6

Hello East fans,

Wow what a week in the division, I can barely catch my breath after today’s games. First off I would like to apologize for my previous post. I had stated that the Redskins would be playing against the Seahawks and I do not know why I thought that.

But even I could not have predicted the travesty that happened in the Nation’s capital.

How can the winless, worthless, lifeless Rams go into the Skins’ house and get their first win. Amazingly they did with something they had not had before, Defense. They played passionately and rather consistent on that side of the ball. Somehow the Skin D could not get off the field and they could not capitalize on their opportunities. Campbell had a solid game apart from the fumbles, and the bad play of the offensive line.

It all came down to the last drive, and the Skins could not hold them to finish off the game. St. Louis almost gave the game away by pushing themselves 15 yards back from a 35 yard chip shot to 50 yard field goal. The flag was somewhat questionable, until they showed the replay of the Incognito yelling at one of the referees one too many times. Alas it did not matter Brown came in and nailed the game winner to give the Skins an embarrassing piece of fact of the season. Who did the Rams finally beat for their first win of the season?

After two amazing victories in the toughest division in football, they lose to the weakest team in football. Good luck getting over that one Skins

The afternoon game in Arizona played out just the way I predicted. Okay so not exactly but I did pick the Red Birds to win by a blocked punt in OT. The Cowboys never got underway on offense until the Arizona secondary made it usual appearance of futility. By letting the Patrick (not TO) Crayton run down the field untouched for a score the Cowgals got right back in it. I believe the reason the Dallas O could not get in sync was because they still want to force feed Crybaby Johnson. If Garrett would realize that the easiest way to score is by not throwing TO the ball every other down, they would be undefeated. Look at the scores from your offense, TO deviates the defense to him and everyone else becomes open.

The Cards almost faded into the desert sunset, but the old man Warner would not let this get away. He and probably the best receiver in the game “Fitz” that’s right I said it, won the game. Fitz made some amazing catches to help his team stay in the game. Warner took just as many shots as Romo did so it seems that the lines we absent for the game once again. The end of regulation was a bit screwy with refs helping out the Cowgals quite a bit even the opposing coach lending a hand with his timeout on a blocked kick.

In the end I was right America, I knew the fake mighty would fall and here we are, I am just glad TO can hold his tongue for the good of the team.

Out in the Bay area my beloved Eagles were fighting to save a promising season against a much better 49er team of recent years. The Eagles started off quick to a two touchdown lead one of which featured the “Fade to Hank” like usual. Then like usual, we gave up the lead and the offense faltered and here we go again. The third quarter has been a black hole for a couple of years now and it seemed to have doomed us again.

San Fran was moving the ball at will, running crisp routes and opening up lanes for everyone to run though. Buck handled the load, he and the Rook were all over the field making plays. The Niners went up two scores and the walls were closing in on me, We moved the ball to the red zone and threw pick, I was feeling dizzy and seeing dots. Then the defense woke up and decided not to lose another game for us. They got the ball back for us again and again as the offense laid eggs on the field. Finally they decided they should better score themselves just to make sure they got the “W”.

We needed this win to help us move ahead with this season, we aren’t out of the woods yet but this helps with my terrible headache.

The G-men are in Cleveland and should have an easy time if they stick to the run game, but then a game with this crazy week…who knows?

That’s it for the East this week, I only write about it because….

There is no other division in Football that matters like ours!
