Blast!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello Blast fans,

Just in time for Humpday here we go with another edition of The Wednesday Blast. This week the majority of concerns sit with me and my fellow Eagle brethren. Other blasts come from all corners of the NFL world, Seattle, Nawlins and Motown.                                                 Let’s get it started!!!!!!!!

First we will start in Motown where everyone is ready to fight!

It is quite a debacle out there in the Northwest, well at least basketball season will start soon and the Sonics can ..oh my bad.

Defensive Secondary Requirements:

1. Must have prior football experience

2. Must be able to use 2 hand touch against opposing player

3. Must have severe memory loss and be able to move on

Are we going to have kicker who can make clutch kicks anytime soon…John Carney is still playing you know?

Do you go over ball handling in practice with Reggie or do you just high-five him in the film room after your weekly viewing of “Keeping up with the Kardashians“ ?

That was hilarious…love that one. LOL Keep on trucking Saints.

Okay this is where it gets extremely personal for me. I have not been able to watch sports or think about sports without passing out since Sunday. Today I found out about B-west and his broken ribs. I also found out about Donovan being embarrassed and I am extremely glad he said that. That is how I feel, embarrassed fo my team, not for me, for them.

I just want to know who is really calling the plays and why we do not have a real fullback? If Andy is calling the plays, he needs to stop. If Marty is calling the plays he needs to stop. If it is a combination of both of them, we are doomed, doomed I tell you. The Rams game was the Lions game of last season, a mirage, a false pretense of what we are. Yes the season is not over, keep your head up and all that jazz, but by all means be afraid… be very afraid. The D is inconsistent, well yeah they we on the field for 2 hours on game day, because the offense could not. But the turnovers where not showing up because the Skins played conservative and smart against a gambling defense that thrives on passion. The game had no passion after the missed FG, (more on that later) the WR’s were inconsistent, the TE’s were too. The running game vanished after the first drive, one play for Booker who made a nice catch that didn’t count.

Right there he showed his versatility, with a mismatch he delivered when he was needed, the ball as just thrown a little to the outside. Why not cycle him back through, the WR come in and out like a revolving door, there is no continuity there. It is bad when I am sitting at home betting how far Rocca will punt the ball, I gave up on that game after the missed FG. Akers, what in the world is going on with you? That’s all I have since he is kicker and all.

The only consistency I see is at the Qb position, he runs the plays that are called, he audibles when he sees different schemes. He hands off when he would rather pass it and he drops back when it would be better to run it. I can see it, why can’t these “football experts” not see it from the sidelines. We have no fire, we caught a break on the punt return and then nothing. Of course the D got pushed around they were tired of the three and outs by the offense. Now Westbrook is day-to-day, how about just letting him get better and let the backups play for awhile. If this team turns it around we will need Westy back and at full speed, we can’t run him down against the 49ers. We should crush them within three series if we do not, then you can start looking for another sport to watch in the winter.
