The Aftermath

Hello Eagles fans,

Well another crazy game was in store for us this Sunday evening, as we hoped to move above 500. There were so much action during the beginning of the game you felt like it was going to be another barn burner. But in the end after injuries and turnovers it turned into our defense imposing their will on the Steelers o-line. Right now I am hoping and praying that everything will be all right with both Westbrook and Donovan.

I really hate those games against the AFC, I don’t understand why but we always lose someone against one of those teams. Last year SuperFive missed two games after playing the Dolphins, the year before that it was the knee against the Titans. Akers getting hurt against the Raiders at home the year before that, I don’t know what it is but a significant injury always happens against one of those teams every year. Not to say that people can’t get hurt against any other team, I guess it’s just paranoia sinking in.

Our defense played amazing, I don’t think Fast Willie even sweat out there today, and after sack number 6 I really started feeling bad for Ben. They got to our passer a couple of times also and after the injury Don seemed to slow down quite a lot. I thought that Booker would be a lot more involved after the injury to Westy, it seemed we just wanted to throw every down. I think we could have run the ball a lot more if we had a real fullback, but hey we will see what happens after the injury report.

What kind of year is this going to be with all the superstars getting hurt every week. Why could we not have played like this against the Cowgirls last week, they would not have been able to score that many points on the defense if we took more chances at the line of scrimmage rather than in coverage. The good thing is we won but at what cost? Another good thing was the day that Baskett had, finally they will look at this game and notice that this guy is legit and maybe look his way a lot more down field. I was disappointed not to see LJ get into the action as much, but this was tough game to get him involved because of the type of defense the Steelers play.

Let’s all take some moments tonight and call out to a Higher power to keep Westy healthy and keep our good season going.
