NFC EAST

Week 2

Hello Eagles fans!

As I wait around waiting for tomorrow’s match up, I can’t help and look at our division just to get a sneak peek at the Gmen and the Redskins. They both seem pretty strong but as I watched the games I couldn’t help and notice some really big holes for both teams. Starting of with the scores you quickly see the depth on both sides of the ball for both teams.

First off let’s start with the Skins, tough high scoring game that was supposed to be about defense. Yeah they were resilient and held on to beat a Saints team that got rather lucky last week against a tough Tampa defense. If you give Campbell time in the pocket he will find a receiver, every time. But the times he needed to use his legs and was hurried he made bad decisions. The last touchdown to Moss, was his ability, he did a good job stepping up in the pocket to avoid the rush and knew Moss would get to the deep throw.

Know, the rest of the game was being controlled by the play calling they did not want to go deep on inexperienced DB’s until they were down. That to me shows a lack of confidence in Campbell, whom I think can be good player in this league if there is consistency with his coaches. Still if you keep pressure on him, he is very prone to make mistakes. The D on the other hand stepped up after some really bad decisions by Brees, they stopped Reggie from rushing for big yards but everybody can do that. So don’t get too excited Skins fans, your team still has some really big holes to fill. Especially on offense, your defense caused turnovers and you had over 450 yards of “O”. Compared to 250 yards on the other side of the ball, and you barely won the game?

Ooohh I can’t wait until we play you guys a couple weeks from now.

Moving on to the Giants game, they played St. Louis and news flash the Rams still suck in week two. They got dominated all over the field, but the one thing that they did do this week against an average O-line, was pressure the QB. They still can’t cover anything, run the ball or prevent Bulger from losing a limb. I see those little things that I know our team can exploit against NY, their weak line and their weak secondary. They do have a strong front seven and their running backs are beasts.

Even without Osi I feel they have the second best D-line in the division and if you can protect the passer you can pick apart their secondary. Eli is more seasoned but he is still immobile and if you fluster him he starts making nutty decisions. Another thing that was surprising for me was that they kept him in the game after they were up, If he gets hurt you can forget about the rest of the year. So I guess the game plan against the G-men is simple, decapitate Manning and a good kicking game.

I just wanted to post this for those other fans that seem to adore my blog and have the terrible distinction of not loving the Eagles like I do. Every week I will give my view on the division since, well let’s be honest it is the only division that really matters in this league.

Event those pathetic Cowgirl fans can attest to that, F-Dallas!!!

GO EAGLES!!!!!
